Sentinel Roadmap

What J&J Sentinel NVR does today, what we're finishing now, and what's coming next. Items turn green as they ship.

277Available
20In progress
71Planned

Updated October 25, 2026. Sentinel is in beta. "Available" means it's in the current beta release. Planned items and dates can change. S.I. detection is assistive: it can miss things or flag things that aren't there, so every alert links to the video for a person to check.

Platform 25/35 available

  • AvailableSelf-hosted NVR/VMS that runs on your own Windows PC as Windows services (web, S.I., updater). No cloud needed.
  • AvailableRuns fully offline, and nothing is sent to the internet unless you turn on a feature that needs it (updates, weather).
  • AvailableBrowser-only client: plain HTML5, with no plugins, ActiveX or extra .exe to install.
  • AvailablePhone web app at /m (installable to the home screen).
  • AvailableDealer white-label: logo, name and support phone on the splash, sign-in, header and About screens, with saved branding profiles.
  • Available"powered by J&J Technical Services" mark when a dealer logo is set. The About page shows "Patent Pending".
  • AvailableDevice and email passwords are encrypted at rest, and the encryption key is protected by Windows.
  • AvailableEvery page, recording and live stream needs a signed-in session. No anonymous stream links.
  • AvailableCustomer docs and guides online at jandjtechserv.com/sentinel/docs.
  • AvailableLicensing for setups of 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 cameras.
  • AvailableNew, techier look and font across the app, phone view, kiosk and Viewer, in J&J red and black (or the dealer's colors).
  • AvailableJ&J Sentinel Viewer: a separate, lightweight desktop app for watching the live wall and reviewing footage only, with no access to system or camera settings. Footage stays on the server.
  • AvailableViewer Help: answers that work offline, a server check, and call or email support.
  • AvailablePer-camera "Show in Viewer apps" setting, enforced on the server, so chosen cameras never reach Viewer seats or the Public View Monitor. Only an admin can change it, and every change is logged.
  • AvailableNew name and look: "J&J Sentinel S.I." with the tagline "S.I. Situational Intelligence", in red, charcoal and silver, across the app, phone view and Viewer.
  • AvailableViewer updates: the server keeps the newest J&J-signed Viewer installer and hands it to Viewer PCs, which check the signature again before installing, so each Viewer PC doesn't need its own internet access. Settings has a "Check for a new Viewer now" button.
  • AvailableThe Viewer version always matches the server version, and a fresh Viewer comes out with every update.
  • AvailableAfter an update from the server, the Viewer reopens on its own, back on the same page, layout and tiles, and signed in as the last person who used it. If that sign-in has expired, the sign-in screen opens with the name already filled in.
  • AvailableThe Viewer draws the same arrow callouts as the server (name only, weapons always shown) and has its own weather radar tile with the current-conditions card.
  • AvailableThe Viewer's Help shows the "Call support" button only to admins.
  • AvailableViewer: drag a camera tile onto another to swap them (Even, Panel and Spotlight). The order is saved on that PC, with a Reset order button.
  • AvailableThe Viewer keeps showing the last camera wall while the server restarts, then picks up again by itself.
  • AvailableViewer full-screen camera: double-click it or press Back to return to the wall (Esc still works).
  • AvailableAndroid Viewer app: watch the live wall from an Android phone. Sign in once and it stays signed in (saved encrypted on the phone), with a Log out option.
  • AvailableBranding: your uploaded logo fits the header, and your logo and color carry into the Viewer.
  • In progressData Center Edition: a separate edition for large, high-security sites.
  • In progressLinux: a headless server package for a small Linux box (no screen needed). It runs as a service, you manage it from the web page, and the Viewer apps connect as usual. It can use a small SSD as a recording cache in front of the main recording drive, and S.I. can run on the box's graphics card with an automatic CPU fallback. Tested in a virtual machine; real-hardware testing is next.
  • In progressViewer Help shows the Viewer and server versions, warns when they don't match, and offers an Update button.
  • In progressViewer Help shows your own administrator's contact (set in Settings and during setup), so users contact their admin first.
  • In progressThe J&J Sentinel name always shows, with a link to the product page, even when a dealer's logo is used.
  • PlannedPortable Windows edition that runs from a thumb drive with no install, with recordings going to a chosen drive or share.
  • PlannedJ&J Sentinel support assistant for customers, in the app and on the website: setup help, system health checks, and a hand-off to the J&J Technical Services support line. After the usage refresh; scope set 10/18/2026 (customer-facing).
  • PlannedMulti-monitor Viewer wall: one video wall across several monitors, with wall presets that apply to every screen at once, remembered per PC.
  • PlannedViewer tiles show the whole camera picture by default, with a per-camera Fit / Fill choice.
  • PlannedHome and small-farm edition: a small box with no screen, a first-run setup wizard, phone pairing by QR code, an app that finds the box on your network, and automatic overnight updates.

Cameras and discovery 17/22 available

  • AvailableNative support for the camera and recorder lines J&J installs, with no vendor SDKs.
  • AvailableWorks with all major camera brands (ONVIF and RTSP). Most brand drivers are built from vendor documentation and are still being tested on real hardware.
  • AvailableONVIF extras: PTZ, camera event subscription, time sync, codec info and on-camera recording replay.
  • Available"Search for cameras" uses WS-Discovery, SSDP/UPnP, mDNS and vendor discovery protocols, all in parallel with progress per method.
  • AvailableOptional "Deep scan": a slow, rate-limited port scan of private address ranges only. It's off by default.
  • AvailableSearch results table: brand, model, IP, MAC, firmware, driver (Native / ONVIF / RTSP), how it was found, and "Already added".
  • AvailableOne-click add: logs in, pulls one live frame to prove it works, then adds the camera. Falls back to ONVIF, with a manual RTSP form as a last resort.
  • AvailableDefault-login list that admins can edit, tried during search. Passwords are masked and never written to logs.
  • AvailableNVR import: pick channels from a recorder. The import respects your license camera count.
  • AvailableModel presets: pick a model and the stream, PTZ and event paths fill in.
  • AvailableCamera clock is synced automatically when a camera is added (on by default), plus a "sync time now" button. Today this doesn't set the camera's time zone or daylight saving; the must-ship time sync in section 16 fixes that.
  • AvailableMixed fleets: different brands in one grid, one search and one alert queue.
  • AvailableCamera search works on every network card, with Windows Firewall rules added by the installer and removed by the uninstaller.
  • Available"Other subnet" badge with tips on reaching the camera, and suggestions when nothing answers.
  • AvailableSafer camera search: one search at a time, a Cancel button, a 90-second limit, live progress, and VPN or virtual adapters skipped by default.
  • AvailableCameras screen: camera list and search at the top, and the camera's address opens its own sign-in page.
  • AvailableRemoving a camera shows a progress bar that turns green when done, with Retry if something goes wrong.
  • In progressCamera tools (admin only, logged): hide the camera's own on-screen clock (saved first, with Restore), restart a camera, and factory reset (soft by default), each with a type-the-camera-name confirm.
  • In progressSmarter camera finder: spots cameras still on their factory address and flags cameras with no address yet, with a tip for each.
  • PlannedReal-hardware testing for each brand, native APIs for more brands, and recorder channel import for more recorder brands.
  • PlannedSetup tip that warns when a camera uses smart codec or long keyframe gaps (these break mid-stream decoding).
  • PlannedAdd Camera fills in the maker's factory login for the chosen brand, and when a camera is still on its factory login, Sentinel makes you set a new one (over ONVIF where the camera allows it, otherwise it opens the camera's own web page).

Live view 45/56 available

  • AvailableSingle ingest: one local relay per camera stream, so the camera sees one session and everything else reads from the relay.
  • AvailableStream compatibility per camera (Auto / Direct / Repackage) for cameras that leave stream details out. Auto picks the right mode and remembers it.
  • AvailableIf the live picture stalls, a watchdog restarts the stream, and the recorder restarts after the stream reconnects.
  • AvailableGrid layouts of 1/4/6/9/16/25/32, double-click for full screen, saved layouts.
  • AvailableDrag-and-drop tile order saved per user and per layout, with "Reset layout".
  • AvailableSubstream in the grid and main stream when focused. Per-camera "Live view: main" override and single-camera "Full quality".
  • AvailableFill-the-tile by default, with a per-camera "Fit" option.
  • AvailableLive S.I. markers: arrow callouts (default), boxes, or both, set globally and per camera.
  • AvailableCallout colors by type: people yellow, vehicles blue, animals green, packages/objects orange, red reserved for Weapon / lockdown. Colors are editable and resettable, with a collapsible legend.
  • AvailableCallout layout for crowded scenes: labels move to free space, scale with perspective, and stay steady between frames.
  • AvailableIndustry-pack and state badges on tiles (can be turned off per camera).
  • Available"Over license limit" notice on tiles of cameras beyond the license.
  • AvailablePOS receipt text shown over the camera tied to that register.
  • AvailableTwo-way audio (hold to talk) on desktop and phone, on supported cameras.
  • AvailableLive PTZ controls only show for cameras marked as PTZ, and hold-to-talk only where it is turned on.
  • AvailablePer-camera Mirror, Flip and Rotate 180, asked of the camera first with a software fallback, so live, recordings and S.I. labels all match.
  • AvailablePer-camera "Hide from video wall": the camera stays off the wall but keeps recording and running S.I..
  • Available5- and 7-camera layouts, and one shared camera order for every layout.
  • AvailableWeather radar tile on Live from the National Weather Service, refreshed every 5 minutes, with an off switch. It never uses a camera slot.
  • AvailableSky cameras: optional sun glare reduction, and a per-camera picture schedule from the site's sunrise and sunset times.
  • AvailableDay and Night picture profiles for any camera (brightness, contrast, color, sharpness and more) that switch at sunrise and sunset, plus an "Image adjustments" panel with sliders, Apply, Revert, Save as Day / Night and a manual override. Admin only, and changes are logged.
  • AvailableVideo decoding on the CPU or the graphics card, set separately from S.I. processing.
  • AvailableOne slow or stuck camera can no longer freeze the other tiles on the live wall, and a camera whose substream is down falls back to its main stream.
  • AvailablePTZ: pan/tilt/zoom, presets and server-side tours.
  • AvailableAlarm-out / relay trigger on supported cameras.
  • AvailableSmarter stream-mode detection: switches to Repackage only when it's really needed, never because of resolution or 4K, and switches back on its own if it doesn't help.
  • AvailableCamera and recorder video processes run at lower priority, so the PC stays responsive.
  • AvailableDesktop video wall background (Windows): right-click the Live wall and pick "Set as desktop background" (or "Remove desktop background"). The live grid plays behind the desktop icons, one wall per monitor, on substreams, muted, at about 5 frames a second, and it ignores the mouse. It survives restarts. It runs full screen with no title bar and no taskbar button, and if its sign-in runs out it reopens itself. Multi-monitor setups are still being checked.
    • AvailableS.I. callouts on the desktop wall: the same labels, arrow/box style and colors as Live view, refreshed twice a second. Proven in testing; a live callout on a real desktop is still to be seen.
  • AvailableSentinel's own system date and time shown under the weather card on the live wall and in the Viewer.
  • AvailableLive audio: the grid is always silent; you hear only the camera you select, one at a time. The desktop background is always muted.
  • AvailableLive relay watchdog: Sentinel checks that every camera still has its live path and restarts the stream itself if it vanished, and a slow viewer can no longer back up the relay.
  • AvailableLive tiles no longer flash black while Windows is updating the live playlist files, and a stalled tile now waits longer before it reloads and keeps the last picture on screen.
  • AvailableBrowsers that can't play H.265 get an H.264 live view. H.264 cameras are copied rather than re-encoded, so only real conversions count toward the 9-stream limit.
  • AvailableWeb-stream (HLS) cameras get S.I. callouts too.
  • AvailableLive tiles say "Loading..." while connecting, "No signal, reconnecting..." when the picture stops moving for about 8 seconds, and show a failed message only after 3 tries in a row. A tile whose picture moves again clears itself. The server screen and the Viewer follow the same rules.
  • AvailableFrozen-picture guard: if a camera keeps sending the same still picture, S.I. stops reporting on it and reopens the stream, so an old callout can't stay on screen.
  • AvailableWeather current-conditions card on the radar tile: picture icon for day or night, temperature, conditions, feels-like, high and low, wind, humidity and the next 4 hours. It's see-through, and it hides itself during a weather warning so the radar fills the tile.
  • Available"Updating" settle window on the PC that runs the server: when an update finishes and the services come back up, a 2-minute countdown shows live checks: services up, cameras online, S.I. running. If everything is healthy it leaves early with an all-clear. If something is still down it says what, and opens anyway after about 3.5 minutes at most. Then the full Viewer opens with your page, layout style, tile order and last signed-in user back. The server web screen shows the same countdown as a banner.
  • AvailableWindowed layouts fill the window: Even, Panel and Spotlight stretch to the full height of the window (cropping a little at the edges, never more than 2.5 times), on the server screen and in the Viewer.
  • AvailableCallouts follow what they call out: between S.I. checks the box keeps moving along with the object, so it stays on a person or car that is walking or driving.
  • AvailableMore reliable update downloads: real progress, resume after a dropped connection, a retry when a download stalls, and the Updates page shows Checking, Downloading and Installing with the result.
  • AvailableCallouts are see-through, show the name only (no percentage), and only show at 60% confidence or higher by default. The limit is a setting (30 to 99%), and weapon callouts always show.
  • AvailableSmart layouts, on for everyone: the wall offers the three best-fit layouts for the number of cameras in view (an even grid, one big spotlight camera, or a grid with a side panel). When the weather tile is on, it counts as one of the tiles. The screen and the Viewer use the same layouts.
  • AvailableShort stream hiccups no longer flash a message: a live tile keeps its last picture for a few seconds while it quietly reconnects, on the screen and in the Viewer.
  • AvailableEmpty live-wall slots fill with weather, recent alerts or a featured camera, so a small system never shows blank tiles. Each fill-in has its own on/off switch, and the screen and the Viewer match.
  • In progressOne clock only: each camera's own on-screen timestamp can be turned off from Sentinel (saved first, with a Restore button), so the system clock is the one clock.
  • In progressLow-delay live view (in progress): the server's live relay now supports a low-delay stream type for the screen to use, with the current live view as the automatic fallback. The picture side is coming in the next updates; nothing changes on screen yet.
  • PlannedDigital zoom on live and playback (wheel or pinch, drag, double-click to reset, with a mini-map).
  • PlannedReload button on the wall and desktop video wall, plus F5 to reload.
  • PlannedSeamless wall refresh with no blank screen, working toward a wall that never needs a reload.
  • PlannedS.I. auto-zoom: an inset that zooms to the subject of an alert, with optional PTZ follow.
  • PlannedLive video starts only while someone is watching (Live page, desktop background or another browser), to save processing on the PC. A "Keep live view ready" setting (on by default when the desktop background is on) keeps Live opening instantly. Approved 10/18/2026, next build.
  • PlannedCamera logins kept off every video process's command line, including the camera ingest.
  • Planned"No picture" health alert, with an automatic reconnect, when a stream sends gray or undecodable frames.
  • PlannedVideo wall / decoder / network keyboard, e-map, and PTZ click-to-center.
  • PlannedSmart layouts become the only way the wall is laid out, and the old numbered layout buttons are removed.

Recording and storage 10/15 available

  • AvailableRecording modes per camera: Motion (default for new cameras), Continuous, Off.
  • AvailablePre-roll (5 s) and post-roll (10 s) by default, with motion sensitivity from 1 to 100.
  • AvailableWeekly 7×24 recording schedule per camera (continuous / events only / off).
  • AvailableStream-copy recording: no re-encoding, so CPU use stays very low. It records the main stream plus a low-res copy.
  • AvailableMotion sources: Sentinel's own motion check plus the camera's or NVR's own motion events.
  • AvailableOne-click conversion of older cameras to motion recording.
  • AvailableRetention per site (default 30 days), with automatic cleanup and a disk guard.
  • AvailableFirst-run setup guide: right after the first forced admin password change (step 1), Sentinel walks through step 2 "Where should recordings go?" (pick the recording drive/folder, then a retention planner first slice: keep N days, see the estimated storage needed against the drive, and apply it) and step 3 "Add cameras" (quick network search only, one search at a time, or add by IP). Skip, Back and Next on every step. It shows once on a new install only (never on later password changes or on installs that already have cameras). "Run setup again" in Settings, on the Health storage card and in About/Help reopens it from step 2. The Data Center edition has the same flow and it makes no internet calls. Requested 10/18/2026.
  • AvailablePer-camera "Record audio" for cameras with a microphone: recordings, playback and exports with sound. Off by default, with a notice about audio-recording laws, and every on/off change is logged.
  • AvailableSetup guide recording folder: Sentinel creates a missing folder and tests that it can write to it, and accepts network share addresses with a saved login (mapped drive letters can't be seen by the Sentinel service, so use the share address)
  • In progressRetention planner: pick how long to keep footage, see the storage each camera needs, compare it with free space on the recording drive, and set retention in one place.
  • In progressRecording storage check: write test, speed and free space, and if the recording folder stops answering, recording switches to a local fallback folder with a Health alert and a banner, then switches back when it returns.
  • PlannedExisting cameras follow the default recording mode automatically, keeping older footage when switching modes.
  • PlannedNAS recording over SMB/NFS, built-in Synology support, and a NAS appliance mode.
  • PlannedCloud backup of recordings and alert clips (optional, off by default).

Playback and export 8/10 available

  • AvailableTimeline with event ticks, 1h/6h/24h zoom and 0.5×–8× speed.
  • AvailableMotion-clip navigation (previous/next, one camera or all), and a clip list with thumbnails.
  • AvailableSynced playback of up to 9 cameras on one clock.
  • AvailablePlayback from the camera's or NVR's own recordings.
  • AvailableAutomatic H.264 conversion for browsers that can't play H.265.
  • AvailableMP4 clip export (30 s / 60 s / 2 min) and share, logged in the audit log.
  • AvailablePOS receipt shown at the playhead.
  • AvailableFull-size snapshot viewer with server-drawn callouts. "Play this moment" jumps to 3 s before the event.
  • PlannedDetection callouts in Playback, matching the live colors and layout.
  • PlannedRecordings and exports stamped with the server's time.

S.I. detection 29/36 available

  • AvailableOn-site S.I. for people, vehicles and animals. It runs on the CPU, with no cloud calls.
  • AvailableS.I. on/off per camera. With it off, the camera still records and shows live, and it frees CPU.
  • AvailablePerson false-alarm check (confidence, frames in a row, movement), set per camera and tuned so slower PCs can still confirm people.
  • AvailableVehicle types: car, SUV, pickup, van, box truck, 18-wheeler, bus, motorcycle, bicycle, golf cart, ATV, UTV/side-by-side, tractor, riding/zero-turn mower.
  • AvailableWildlife and pet tags: deer, raccoon, opossum, hog, coyote, fox, bear, armadillo, rabbit, skunk, bird/turkey, dog, cat and more. These are tags for a kind of animal, not exact species, and they are hints: small animals and birds are often missed with default settings.
  • AvailablePer-camera animal confidence floor.
  • AvailableOfficer / guard cue (hi-vis vest). It's a rough cue and can be fooled.
  • AvailableCamera's own events (motion, line cross, intrusion) are double-checked by S.I. and marked verified only if S.I. saw a person or vehicle.
  • AvailableScale-out: split cameras across several S.I. workers.
  • AvailableMasked Areas: draw shapes per camera to hide spots from S.I. (all classes or one class). Masked spots still record; only S.I. ignores them.
  • Available"Mask this spot" straight from an event or phone alert, with Undo.
  • AvailableWeapon and lockdown alerts are never masked.
  • AvailableStatic-object suppression: an object sitting in the same place doesn't keep alerting (default 2 hours, per camera). Weapons and animals are never suppressed.
  • AvailableActivity heatmaps for people and vehicles.
  • AvailablePlain-English smart search ("people in lobby after 6pm") with a play-all reel.
  • AvailableSky Watch for sky-facing cameras: tags aircraft, drones and unknown lights at night by blink pattern and flight path, and in daytime by shape. It also catches meteors (saved as a clip plus a stacked still) and Starlink-style satellite trains ("SpaceX Starlink deployment"). Alert / Log only / Off per type: drones and unknowns alert, the rest log only. It's identification help only. Preview
  • AvailableWeather mode: when the weather service reports rain, snow, fog or high wind, outdoor cameras get less sensitive and turn on rain/branch/lens-water filters. Weapon and safety alerts are never desensitized. There's an adjustment log with CSV export. Preview
  • AvailableS.I. load limits: analysis is paced per camera and by CPU cores, with short pauses when the PC is busy, so the PC stays responsive.
  • AvailableS.I. on the PC's graphics card: the detector is tested on the chosen graphics card at startup, and the status shows where it really runs. If the card can't run a model, that model falls back to the CPU instead of stopping the service. The second-stage checks (wildlife and object checks) run on the card too.
  • AvailableThe number of cameras S.I. analyzes at once is sized from the measured speed of the graphics card, and drops back to the CPU limit if the card has errors.
  • AvailableBetter animal and person accuracy on slower PCs.
  • AvailableGraphics card check at startup: each S.I. model is tested on the graphics card first, and Sentinel falls back to the CPU on its own if the card has trouble. Health explains why in plain words, with a "Try GPU again" button.
  • AvailableThe S.I. processing choice saves and stays put, and graphics cards are listed by their real names.
  • Available"Train S.I.": give an event a new label (free text) and Sentinel uses it for that object on the site.
  • AvailableTree sway no longer sets off drone alerts: travel path, back-and-forth and tree-line checks, plus a wind setting.
  • AvailableSky Watch warns, then pauses, when a sky camera is really looking at a ceiling or indoors, and Health says why.
  • AvailableGoats get their own label instead of "dog".
  • AvailableRetrained S.I. object model that knows many more kinds of animals, including deer, goats, pigs, foxes, bears, big cats, primates, reptiles and zoo animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos and penguins.
  • AvailableS.I. camera count adapts to the PC: it starts at half the cores, adds cameras while the CPU stays under about 60% and backs off above about 85%, so new cameras aren't silently left out.
  • In progressDetector retrained on real-world pictures, including everyday U.S. vehicle types (pickups, cars, SUVs, vans, semis, school buses, motorcycles) and the trees, windows and lights it used to mistake for things. In training now.
  • PlannedBetter officer check (uniform, duty belt, badge, lettering, patrol car).
  • PlannedPer-camera wind sensitivity, and forklift as its own class.
  • PlannedSky Watch gets its own page, and clicking a recent sky detection plays the recording from a few seconds before to a few seconds after, with the track marked. Repeat hits seconds apart at the same spot are grouped into one event.
  • PlannedSky Watch extras: comets, constellation overlay, flight matching, satellite cross-check, cloud types, and more aircraft types.
  • PlannedVehicle make and model recognition, as a second step after a vehicle is spotted.
  • PlannedSeated or still people shown on Live with a dimmed "still" label (no alerts from them).

Weapons and lockdown 9/10 available

  • AvailableWeapon detection (handgun / long gun / knife / tool), assistive only, with low / normal / high sensitivity.
  • AvailableRetrained weapon model: in our testing it raised far fewer false alarms on pictures with no weapon, and caught more handguns and knives.
  • AvailableSecond-stage weapon type: pistol, revolver, shotgun, AR-style rifle, AK-style rifle, hunting/bolt rifle, knife. AR/AK are flagged critical.
  • AvailableLong gun at the entrance can trigger an automatic lockdown.
  • AvailableOne-button lockdown: outputs, alert and a full-screen site grid.
  • AvailableLockdown outputs set per site (relays, sirens), with a test mode.
  • AvailableRed "Weapon / lockdown" callout color, reserved for safety only.
  • AvailableSafety alerts are never masked, never suppressed and never desensitized by weather mode.
  • AvailableSchool resource officer schedule (Schools & Churches pack).
  • PlannedShots-fired detection and location for big sites (military bases, airports, data centers). After the usage refresh; requested 10/18/2026. Needs "Record audio" (section 4) first. The first try uses only the cameras' own microphones, with no extra sensors.
    • In progressPhase 1: possible-gunshot alert from cameras with Record audio on, with the nearest cameras listed. Always verify on video. In testing.
    • PlannedPhase 2: rough location from the differences in when each camera heard the sound, plus muzzle-flash spotting on video for direction. Needs camera clocks matched to within milliseconds (measured per camera) and camera positions on the site map. Expect zone-level accuracy, not an exact spot.
    • PlannedPhase 3 (optional): dedicated outdoor sound sensors for better accuracy.
    • PlannedShot pop-up: a site map opens on its own with the camera positions, the estimated spot as a marker with a circle showing how sure it is (or a direction arrow when only a direction is known), which cameras heard it and in what order, the time, and the shot count. The nearest cameras open live beside the map. The same pop-up shows on the desktop background and the phone, with one click to save evidence.
    • PlannedData centers: indoor halls are loud (cooling fans), so it will be tuned for sharp impulse sounds and tested in a live hall, plus outdoor perimeter and parking areas.

    • PlannedCasino pack preset, table game watch, and 64-/100-/128-tile video walls (DC large-scale monitoring, section 17).
  • AvailableHotels (pack in progress, website card LIVE as of 10/18/2026): works today with existing rules: lobby/front desk loitering, pool after hours and capacity, lot after hours, stairwells, back halls and loading dock after hours, guest-floor hallways (never in-room), one-button lockdown, weapon alerts.

    • PlannedAirport pack preset, unattended-bag alerts (not in S.I. today), vehicle left too long at the curb, 64-/100-/128-tile video walls, and air-gapped operation on the Data Center Edition (section 17). No compliance or approval claims.

  • AvailableHorse & Dog Racing Tracks (pack in progress, website card LIVE as of 10/18/2026): works today with existing rules: barn, stable and kennel night watch that flags an animal lying still too long or pacing (assistive; not foaling detection), animal seen outside a drawn area, predators or feral hogs near the barns, grandstand crowd counts, track-incursion line crossing, paddock/kennel/barn areas after hours, loitering and two-person rule at betting/cash windows, parking lot and plate gate, one-button lockdown, weapon alerts.
    • AvailableAllowed animals: mark your own horses and dogs so they don't trigger alerts.
    • AvailableEscaped-animal alerts when a horse or dog leaves its area.
    • AvailableFence-line crossing alerts when horses or other livestock come into a pasture from outside. Species only: S.I. doesn't tell individual animals apart.
    • AvailableHigh-priority bear warnings near the barns and kennels: the same dangerous-predator warning as the Farm & Ranch pack (section 10), on by default once the Horse & Dog pack exists.
    • PlannedMountain lion, bobcat, wolf and coyote warnings, with better species models (section 10).

Readings come from the camera itself; a screening aid only, not a diagnosis.
  • AvailableAmusement Parks added to the Zoos pack: ride queue length, midway crowding and rides running after hours.

  • PlannedReading printed receipt item text, pallet tracking from barcodes, and Square/Clover POS adapters.

Farm & Ranch pack 23/27 available

  • AvailableLivestock outside the fence.
  • AvailablePasture / barn gate left open.
  • AvailableNight barn watch that flags an animal lying still too long or pacing, and animal down / not moving (assistive). It doesn't detect calving or foaling itself.
  • AvailableTrespasser after hours.
  • AvailableEquipment / trailer leaving at night.
  • AvailableNight-time tools / fence cutting.
  • AvailableHog or predator near livestock, feral hogs on the property, loose dog in the pasture.
  • AvailableLivestock second check by species (goat, sheep, horse, cow, pig, dog, chicken, deer, person, object). It works on night IR.
  • Available"Animals that live here" per camera. It also stops false "outside fence" alerts when no fence is drawn.
  • AvailableStricter person check for low, four-legged shapes: someone walking the fence line still counts as a person, while livestock and dogs don't.
  • AvailableTexas/rural wildlife set on Farm cameras: coyote, white-tailed deer, bobcat, raccoon, skunk and red fox are named well in photo tests; feral hog and opossum about half the time. With default settings, armadillos, cottontails, gray foxes, hawks/owls, roadrunners, wild turkeys and snakes are usually missed, because the first detection step calls them "bird" and bird boxes are off by default.
  • AvailableAlert / Log only / Off per animal, per camera. By default coyote, feral hog, bobcat, fox, hawk/owl and snake alert, and the rest log only.
  • AvailableSmall-animal-not-person guard: small, low "person" boxes that are really animals get relabeled or dropped.
  • AvailableNorth American species list: 88 farm animals, pets, predators, wildlife and game-ranch exotics, each with what it shows up as today. The "Animals that live here" picker offers kept animals (donkeys, mules, alpacas, llamas, bison, ducks, geese, emus, axis deer, aoudad, nilgai, oryx and more) and says plainly which ones aren't recognized yet. Allowed animals adds rabbits, armadillos, wild turkeys, roadrunners, other birds, zebras and giraffes. Rules accept animal names and groups such as "all predators". Saved rules work as before.
  • AvailableZebras, giraffes and elephants keep their own tag on Farm cameras (the wildlife check used to relabel a zebra as "skunk").
  • AvailableAll livestock in Allowed animals and "Stay in its area": cattle (bulls, steers and calves count as cattle), horses, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys. Animals without a label of their own are shown honestly as what they come out as: donkeys and mules as horses, llamas as goats, alpacas as sheep, bison as cattle. New "Separate herd" setting per pasture: an alert when cattle (or another watched kind) enter the pasture from outside, or cross a fence line you draw (in, out or both ways), and an optional, off-by-default alert for a new animal inside that wasn't seen entering. The Farm & Ranch preset adds "Livestock stay in their pastures" and "Fence line crossing (livestock)". Species only: S.I. can't tell individual animals, or a bull from a cow, apart.
  • AvailableDangerous-predator warning for bears: high priority with snapshot and clip, any time of day, on by default in the Farm & Ranch and Hunting Cams packs (in the Zoo pack it ships off until exhibit areas are drawn) and on sites that already have livestock rules. Raised to critical when the bear is in or near a marked livestock or barn area or next to livestock. Allowed animals and "Stay in its area" can never silence it, and a predator can never be marked allowed (admins can still change who gets notified). Bear is a real detector label; it is weaker at night on infrared and for far or small animals, and on Farm cameras a grizzly can come out "hog". The same rule passes along the existing coyote and bobcat tags from the Farm wildlife check, marked unverified. Zoos draw exhibit areas so animals inside their exhibit are logged, not alerted. Masked areas never hide it. Alerts show as a pop-up and go to email alert rules; mobile push is planned. An optional "bear or large hog" setting for grizzly country (off by default) also warns on a large hog tag, which can false-alarm on big feral hogs.
  • Available"Dog or coyote-sized animal near livestock" at night (sunset to sunrise from the site location, or a schedule), for feral dogs and packs (1 or more dogs, configurable; 2 or more is reported as a pack). On by default in the Farm & Ranch pack. Dogs the farm marked allowed in that area are skipped (an option, because S.I. cannot tell your own dog from a stray). S.I. cannot reliably tell a dog from a coyote, especially far away or on night infrared.
  • AvailableBirth / vet low-light view and activity timeline.
  • AvailableSmarter equipment/trailer rule: alert only when a vehicle actually leaves, not when it's just parked.
  • AvailableAllowed dogs: mark your own dogs so they don't set off the loose dog alert in the pasture.
  • Available"This is my animal" works for any animal S.I. reports, zoo animals included, with plain-words messages when something can't be marked.
  • AvailablePets that S.I. reads as a predator (for example a dog called a coyote) can be marked "allowed". Weapons, lockdown, people, faces, plates and vehicles can never be allowed.
  • PlannedBirds and small animals on Farm cameras: send "bird" boxes to the wildlife check instead of dropping them, so chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, hawks, owls, roadrunners, armadillos, cottontails and snakes (best effort) can be tagged. Needs a CPU and false-alarm check first.
  • PlannedSpecies-level recognition for animals that come out as a related kind today: mule deer vs white-tailed, elk, moose, pronghorn, black vs brown/grizzly bear, wolf, mountain lion, lynx, javelina, badger, porcupine, beaver, alligator, donkeys, mules, bison, alpacas, llamas, emus, ostriches, and game-ranch exotics (axis, fallow, sika and red deer, blackbuck, aoudad, nilgai, gemsbok, scimitar-horned oryx, addax, kudu, eland, wildebeest, camel, ibex). Needs a trained species classifier, a labeled camera-trap dataset and night infrared testing (research and development item).
  • PlannedGame Ranch pack: high-fence breach, exotic out of its pasture, poacher or trespasser at night (person plus vehicle or light cues), feeder-cam counts by kind, gate left open, and a night spotlight / gunshot-flash cue. Species-specific alerts wait on the species classifier above.
  • PlannedSpecies-level predator recognition: mountain lion, jaguar, ocelot, exotic big cats, wolf and coyote told apart from house cats and dogs. Today the detector only has "cat" and "dog" for these, so a plain "cat" or "dog" never fires a predator warning. Needs the species model work. An optional size check for large "cat" shapes exists in source, off by default, because a house cat close to the camera can look big.
